Lenten Mission Wednesday nights

Beginning on Wednesday, February 29th, St. James will offer a soup supper and a presentation at 6:30 p.m. in the MMHall each week during the Lenten season. Please plan to join us for fellowship and inspirational speakers on a variety of topics

This year Deacon Hemke will be leading the Stations of the Cross each Friday during Lent (except for Good Friday) at 5:30 p.m. Fr. Totton will be hearing confessions each Friday beginning at 5 p.m. and will hear confessions during the Stations if confessors are still in line

Soup for the soul

Soup for the Soul Week I: “The Life of a Saint”  6:30-8pm Wednesday, Parish Hall

Mr. Bill Latham of Wichita, KS will speak on the life and death of the servant of God, Fr. Emil Kapaun (photo), a Kansas-born priest whose life and death exemplify the call of Christian discipleship.  Stories abound of Fr. Kapaun modeling self-sacrifice as a young Army combat chaplain in the Korean war.  Eventually captured, Fr. Kapaun died as a P.O.W.  His cause for beatification and canonization is currently being pursued by the Diocese of Wichita.  Soup Supper provided by the LOBOS youth group.  Babysitting also provided

That Man is you rewind

Five years ago St. James Parish began a men's program known as That Man is You. This program includes men from the entire St. Joseph area. For men who missed out or would like a refresher the first year of the program is being offered on Thursday nights at 8:30 in the Casper Erk room.  No prep needed, just show up!
